Legend has it that on a Saturday afternoon in November there was a very charming girl who used to weave huipiles. A tall and handsome young boy lived in the neighborhood, that same afternoon he appeared to the girl, at that moment he took her hands and their eyes intertwined, both hearts quickened and without more to say, they fell in love. As time went by, the boys got to know each other more, talking about their lives, families, and the distant dream of one day eloping to live happily together. Every afternoon without fail they looked at each other in the same place, but one day when together they appreciated the sunset and the sweet song of the birds playing on the trees, suddenly Pilarcita's father appeared and threatened the handsome young man, took her away. The girl's father disapproved of his daughter's relationship with the handsome young man. After a few weeks, the girl was very saddened since she never left her house on her father's orders and was dedicated to housework. In the backyard of his house there was a pool and one afternoon a very beautiful hummingbird was next to it, it flew from one place to another since it wanted to attract your attention. The strange movements of the beautiful animal could not attract her attention since the beautiful young woman was very pensive due to the sadness that invaded her. After a few seconds, the hummingbird magically became her handsome crush and without her father noticing, they spent the entire afternoon together. The young man heard his father's footsteps getting closer and closer, so the young man became a hummingbird again and very quickly hid among the huipiles that the young woman wove. One afternoon the young lovers were surprised by Pilarcita's father, who without wasting a single second undertook a chase after the couple in love who, seeing him very furious, the boy took Pilarcita's hand and both became hummingbirds who flew by. the blue and clean Huehueteco sky.
