The lamp is based on relativism, through light and shadow. Relativism affirms that all points of view are valid, so that all truth is relative to the individual. In the product the circles represent the points of view, the way they receive and transmit light is relative for each one. The circles (one made of glass and the other made of reflective glass) symbolize different perceptions and points of view, due to the way in which both receive light in one way and transmit it in another (one shines it and the other reflects it).
